I love writing. I also love tools that make writing easier and virtually error-free. The last thing a copywriter wants is to put out writing that’s full of errors and hard to read. These are four of my favorite online tools that lend polish to your writing and help you make a great first impression.

Content marketing is one of the most cost-effective ways to grab lots of attention from the right sets of eyes. Mistakes make your content hard to read, hard to understand, and easy to ignore.

1. Dictionary.com
This cool online tool lets you check pronunciation, spelling and more. You can even use it to correctly spell the word misspell, which is one of the most frequently misspelled words in the dictionary. How’s that for irony?

2. Thesaurus.com
I’m a word junkie and I love this one. It’s one of those awesome online tools that lets me find words with similar meanings to words I’m tempted to overuse. It’s a smart way to keep your writing from sounding redundant.

3. Grammarly.com
Grammar snobs (I admit to being one of them) won’t have a thing on you with this helpful editing app. It finds – and corrects – up to ten times as many grammar errors as traditional spell check. It’s easy to use, easy to understand, and a quick, easy download.

4. Bib.me
This is one of the best bibliography creators around. It creates bibliographies in multiple formats. If you’re writing anything from blogs to academic papers to books to magazine articles, this is the tool for you.

There you have it. My four favorite online tools that help get my writing juices flowing. You’re all out of excuses now, so get crackin’ and let me know in the comments section if you have other online tools of our trade. Do you have favorite online tools to help you along the small business road?
